Dante said that the hottest place in Hell is reserved for those who in time of crisis remain neutral, so I have spoken my piece, and thank you, dear reader. It's a beautiful world, rain or shine, and there is more to life than winning.

The Alabama Fall Ball Campout took place on the first weekend of November at a primative camp in Talladega National Forest. Everybody had a blast, but instead of rambling on about it myself, I'm gonna share a few quotes out of the forums. Here we go...

Chad wrote, "Man I had a freaking blast. Got things together and packed up and ready to go Friday. Lee and Heather came over and we headed out. Got up there fine no problems. Todd was already there and we all set up camp and got ready for the weekend. Had few Brats for dinner and Darrel and Daniel showed up right before dark. It was great to see Dric show up. I think he won the long distance award for sure. Had a nice fire going and we all just chilled out by the fire. Saturday Todd Dric darrel and I rode up to the state park and hiked out to the highest point in AL. What a great view and the leaves were awesome! Went back to camp and Greg Chris and Chris and Family all Showed up in time for lunch. It was great to see Chris and his two kids show up for a campout with the brigade. The rest of the day we hung out played Bocce', I think Greg and Chris probably tied for the over all title this weekend. We had a great big dinner Thanks go to Greg for the cooking skills... Porkchops, Steaks and bubba burgers for all. I dont think anyine went hungry. Sunday we got packed played some more Bocce' and rode home. It was a great weekend and I want to thank everyone that came out and enjoyed the weekend with me!"
DRick wrote, "I had a blast and couldn't of asked for a better quick trip[ home for a little family time."
Chris wrote, "THAT was great campout! The Mt. Cheaha area is awesome in the fall. It was great to catch up with everybody and see a few faces I haven't seen in some years. We had a great time and will return! Next time I plan on exploring some of the local trails on foot/bike."
Greg wrote, "Man! Maggee and I had the best time with all of ya'll!!!"
Todd wrote, "Man What a weekend! I left the house about 10 am friday morning and headed east! After a fuel stop and some grocery shopping in Talledega I headed to the mountain! I took a scenic route that ended up much shorter and quicker than I expected so I ended up at the camp about noon. After warming some lunch I decided to take a nap! Wow what an experience to be in the beautiful forrest all alone with the cool breeze and fresh air and all the color! I was, however, glad to see Chad, Lee and Heather arrive! Friday night around the camp fire was great! And Saturday seeing Greg was great! I was really glad to finally meet Chris, and his kids,! What beautiful kids! And glad to finally meet D-ric! And I was glad to meet Brandon! I love Bertha and RV by the way!"
This was just a few of the many memories and stories that were made during this campout. We hope to see you at one of the next campouts.
